Choosing the right valves, inserts, and tubes for your bike is important for optimal performance and safety. Here is a guide to help you decide and choose:

Valves:
- Presta valve: Thinner and lighter. Commonly used in high-end road bikes and mountain bikes. Requires a specific pump with a Presta valve compatible head.
- Schrader valve (auto): Similar to the valves on car tyres. Wider and more robust. Compatible with most standard air pumps.
Inserts: Tyre inserts are protective strips placed between the tyre and tube that prevent punctures.
Tubes: Make sure the size of the tube matches the size of the tyre. Sizes are usually indicated on the side of the tyre. The butyl material is affordable and holds air well. Latex is light, more flexible, but can be more expensive and may require more frequent inflation.

Always check the specifications of tyres and rims and choose components that match them. In addition, consider factors such as riding conditions, frequency, and type of cycling. Check and maintain your tyres and inner tubes regularly to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

If you are not sure about the size, or if the sizes are different than you would expect, there is an option to order multiple sizes to a brick-and-mortar store, try them on there, and take the one that fits. The advantage is that you receive a notification about it, and therefore they have exactly what you chose. The disadvantage is that you have to make the trip for it, but that cannot be avoided, so OK.

You can buy everything in one place

Communication with the store is very good, and it is also in a quite good location in Banská Bystrica. The goods I ordered were in the central warehouse, and in the afternoon they were already prepared for me at the store. The opening hours are an advantage. So you can still manage to pick up your order even after work. Great for me. Overall, a wide range of goods, there is plenty to choose from.
