Parameters of the Fenix BC21R bike light
A powerful LED Cree XM-L2 T6 with a warm shade of light and a lifespan of 50,000 hours is used.
A total of five performance modes:
measured with 2300 mAh battery: 880 lumens (1 hour) -> 380 lumens (3 hours) -> 200 lumens (6 hours) -> 100 lumens (12 hours) -> flashing (pulsing between 100 and 380 lumens).
measured with 3400 mAh battery: 880 lumens (1.3 hours) -> 380 lumens (4.5 hours) -> 200 lumens (8.5 hours) -> 100 lumens (15.8 hours) -> flashing (pulsing between 100 and 380 lumens).
- The lamp is supplied with a rechargeable li-ion battery 18650 with a capacity of 2300 mAh.
- Any rechargeable li-ion battery type 18650 from our offer can be purchased as a spare battery.
- Alternatively, two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can be used for power supply (do not try to charge them in the lamp).
- Digitally regulated for constant brightness.
- Warning of discharged batteries, protection against overcharging and complete discharge of the accumulator.
- Protection against overheating - if the lamp heats up above a safe limit, it will automatically switch to a lower power level.
- Two side red LEDs for increased safety (in constant modes it lights up red, in flashing mode they also flash).
- Specially shaped optics create a light cone combining wide peripheral lighting and afterglow of up to 125 meters (3906 cd).
- The lamp is attached to the holder using a quick-release mechanism, which allows you to take it off in an instant and just as quickly to put it back on safely.
- The rubberized construction of the holder sleeve ensures a firm and secure attachment to the handlebars.
- The lighting direction can be adjusted sideways in the range of 30°.
- Lamp made of solid aluminum alloy and impact-resistant plastic.
- Memory of the last set performance mode (including flashing).
- Light dimensions 11.3 cm x 4.05 cm x 4.2 cm.
- Light weight 67 grams (without battery), 115 grams including battery.
- Waterproof according to the IPX-6 standard (spraying with strong streams of water from all directions).
Package contents: lamp, universal handlebar holder, Fenix 18650 battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh, USB cable and spare sealing ring.
Using a bicycle light
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn it on or off, hold down the button on the lamp for about 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by briefly pressing the button (they are switched cyclically in the order of low - medium - high - turbo - flashing).
Battery capacity indication (valid only when powered by an 18650 li-ion battery) - when the light is off, briefly press the button once, then the side red LED lights up for five seconds. Steady lighting means the battery is charged to more than 60%, slow flashing means charging to approx. 20-60%, fast flashing means the battery is almost empty (less than 20%).
Warning about a discharged battery - if the capacity of the battery falls below approx. 20%, the lamp will automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible endurance (then the lamp cannot be switched to higher modes). If the battery is critically discharged, the button starts flashing red. In such a case, we recommend charging the flashlight as soon as possible, so that the protection electronics built into the batteries do not turn off and thus go out.
Charging
- Unfold the rubber cover of the micro USB connector on the bottom of the lamp and connect it to a computer, network USB adapter or USB car adapter using the included USB cable. Any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector can also be used for charging.
- During charging, the button lights up red, after full charge it lights up green.
- Charging time is approx. 4 hours. The li-ion battery used does not suffer from a memory effect, so the light can be charged at any time.
- During charging, the emergency light can be used, only two low modes of 100 and 200 lumens will be available.
- After charging and removing the power cable, do not forget to seal the cover of the micro USB connector.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
- If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the lamp.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the lamp flashes, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
The batteries are almost empty - replace them or charge the accumulator.
The contacts inside the lights are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The end cap is loose, tighten it.
