Neo JR offers similar benefits as the adult version: the lightweight construction of the In Mold shell together with a perfect fit on the head using the In Form clamping system, which can be easily tightened using a wheel. And when the kids' heads get really hot during the super mega-fast ride down? All you have to do is cool them down with the Thermostat Control's smooth vent regulation - you won't even have to take off your gloves. Selected colors are available with MIPS technology, which offers increased brain protection against rotational forces.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1077. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the slope. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS is a sliding insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner linings. In the event of an impact at an angle, the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
