The Ova Freebird is an ideal ski for ski touring, which will save you a lot of energy even during long hikes and multi-day crossings - for example, the legendary Haute Route. The updated rims have a longer active edge, the stiffness has increased, but they still remain excellent skis. The light ski (only 1125g) is pleasant on the ascent and comfortable on the descent, whether on or off the piste, thanks to the width of 85 mm under the heel. You can also rely on them on frozen hard snow, as is the custom with Black Crows skis.

A ski that listens to your commands

Fine-tuned longitudinal stiffness, which will not let you down during a long fast curve, but is directly enjoyed in the shorter ones, when zigzagging between trees or bumps. If the ascent gives you trouble, believe that this ski will make the ride down easier, and will forgive any mistakes in technique. The gentle rocker in the tip and the classic camber will allow you to ride smoothly even without having to lean into the ski with all your strength, so you can easily avoid all the pitfalls of the descent and really enjoy the ride.

Stability in soft snow and excellent grip on hard surfaces were achieved by ova freebird skis thanks to titanal reinforcement under the binding and torsional reinforcement made of carbon and glass fibers. Torsional reinforcement is along the entire length of the wooden core of the ski, which makes the ski perfectly rigid and dampens vibrations. Thanks to the easy control, you will have perfect confidence even when changing snow or on an ice sheet, and you will enjoy every curve to the last angle.
