Reliability on multi-day mountain passes and winter climbing even on the hardest walls in the world, which the Mountain Equipment Tupilak 45+ backpack will provide thanks to its extreme resistance to abrasion, will give you peace of mind and the ability to focus only on performance.

Durability is achieved thanks to specially developed PACT material with a resistance of up to 300 denier and TPU coating. Despite its high resistance, this material maintains a low weight, and together with the possibility of detaching a number of components from the backpack, the minimum weight of the backpack can reach only 580 g. The backpack is the result of more than 3 years of development and testing with an emphasis on functional processing, where nothing is extra and at the same time nothing is missing. A light backpack with easy handling can withstand even the roughest treatment.

Optimal capacity 45 l.
PACT™ 300 & 100 R – durable, light and waterproof material.
All components removable.
Integrated roll-top inner chamber closing system.
The lid of the upper chamber can be closed using a durable aluminum GrapplerTM buckle.
A smaller inner pocket accessible from both the inside and the outside of the backpack.
Side pull straps with Hammerhead aluminum buckle.
Removable back panel made of EVA foam.
Ergonomic shoulder straps made of EVA foam.
40 mm wide hip belt with removable EVA foam padding.
A simple and durable system for holding two ice axes.
Daisy Chain system and loops for hauling (pulling the backpack with a rope).
Comes with a Shockcord system to intertwine the Daisy Chain.

All equipment with you
A mountaineering backpack must cover a wide range of activities and thus accommodate equipment for ice climbing, multi-pitch climbing, summer and winter alpinism, or multi-day mountain crossings. Therefore, when using 2 stitched Daisy Chain straps, side pull straps, external ski and snowboard straps, the main strap, or a case for the front tips of the ice axes, the backpack has a great possibility of holding the material. When every piece of equipment has its place, it is firmly attached, and it is quick and easy to put on and take down.

Convenient filling and storage
The material can be easily inserted and straightened in the backpack because it stands stably on its own. Behind these features is the expanded construction in the area of the base and in the upper part. Two strong upper loops in the front and back of the backpack allow the backpack to be caught or pulled out on the rock without fear of it falling or being damaged.

Ergonomic straps and comfortable back
To improve wearing comfort, a light EVA foam with a high density is used, which does not absorb water due to closed pores. The back panel uses 7 mm thick EVA foam weighing 105 g, which is exceptionally flexible and provides excellent torsional stability.

It is placed inside the backpack in a special bag to prevent damage and to allow its removal. EVA foam with a thickness of 5 mm is used on the anatomically shaped straps, and the whole backpack is therefore comfortable to wear and will always firmly follow the movement of the body. 5mm EVA foam is also used on the removable waist straps, which, together with the removable chest strap, support the shoulder straps in securing the backpack in place.

Taking down the backpack and reducing the volume
The backpack can be pulled down comfortably and firmly with the help of removable straps and by catching the buckle from the top of the back part. This will reduce the useful volume of the backpack and the material inside will not move unintentionally and throw you off balance. On the other hand, when boarding or moving to the cottage, you will appreciate the possibility of releasing the backpack and leaving the lid and roll cap open.

Inner pocket for accessories
Equipment such as a headlamp, energy bar or scarf fits comfortably in the accessory pocket, which has 2 entrances (external and internal). You can thus access it in any situation without having to open the main pocket. If you decide not to use the inner pocket, you can roll it up, fasten it with two zippers and use only the main space of the backpack.

100% waterproof
Inside the backpack, there is an integrated roll cap, which, together with the TPU coating and DWR protection, protects the equipment from snow and rain, or enables the separation of wet and dirty items from the rest of the lower part.

Grappler - patented fastening
Thanks to a patented closure system that uses a puller and a specially designed Grappler buckle, the backpack can be easily opened or closed, even with gloves or one hand. The buckle can be secured in two places, either on the lid or on top of the back part, or in the case of attaching a rope from the outside, or when the backpack is underfilled.

Weight reduction up to 580 g
All components of the backpack can be easily unfastened: waist strap padding, chest strap, side pull straps, ice ax head loops, ice ax straps and a pull cord for crampons or a helmet and back panel. The minimum weight is 580 g.

Durable fabric
The fabric of the backpack consists of a specially developed extremely durable, yet light PACT material with a TPU coating and DWR protection. The fabric is highly resistant to abrasion and climatic conditions. PACT 300 material with a resistance of 300 denier is used on the entire surface of the backpack, including the back, which is doubled in the most stressed base of the backpack. The lighter PACT 100 material with a resistance of 100 denier is used on less stressed parts such as the top, lid, roll closure and inside of the backpack to reduce the weight of the backpack.

Metal components
Developed with a focus on tensile strength, light weight and durability. Durable high-pressure die-cast aluminum with a gloss finish is highly weather-resistant and nearly indestructible.

Rope attachment
The rope can be attached by covering it with the top lid and secured using the side straps. Another option is to attach the rope from the top of the backpack, when the main buckle is attached to the back part and the rope can be unfastened comfortably without taking the backpack off the back. The rope can also be freely stored inside the backpack in the upper part, separated from other equipment and can thus be prepared in standby mode for use.

The ultimate mountaineering backpack
Whether you go on expeditions to the Himalayas, climb in the Alps in winter or summer or love climbing in the Tatras, the TUPILAK backpack will not disappoint you anywhere. Its simple design is designed for maximum reliability, variability of attachment of equipment, low weight and maximum durability.
