ORTOVOX LiTRIC FREERIDE 28 is designed for both skiers and snowboarders who want an avalanche backpack for the most demanding slopes. LiTRIC combines the advantages of both electronic and mechanical systems. On the one hand, it enables multiple inflations per charge, and at the same time, its weight is comparable to the lightest mechanical solutions of rescue systems (systems with a pressure cartridge). The backpack has the option of inserting a certified Clasp Spine Protector. You can attach everything you need for extreme freeride descents to the backpack, including 2 ice axes and a helmet. A highly durable and comfortable backpack that will fit you like a glove even at high speeds. Thanks to the tightening system and the wide waist belt, the backpack becomes a part of you and does not throw you off balance - the backpack perfectly hugs your back.

Back with the option of inserting a certified spine protector
A backpack with avalanche equipment must be carried with you every time you ride off-piste. Why not have a backpack with an integrated back protector? Add the Clasp Spine protector to it, which is a certified spine protector (with motorcycle certification) for a height of up to 200 cm. With a weight of only 200 g, it will not burden your back, but will help protect it. The Triple Flex Elements technology guarantees good flexibility of the protector, which will ensure the necessary comfort. You can get to the main compartment with a two-way zipper from the front of the backpack. Here you will find a compartment for the water reservoir and the outlet for the tube that leads to the shoulder strap. The chamber is light-colored so that you can see the equipment even in poor lighting conditions.

The second chamber serves as a safety avalanche pocket. There are pockets for avalanche equipment - shovel blade, shovel handle and probe. The wet equipment is thus separated from the rest of the things. The bag has intentionally prominent zipper pulls so that they are immediately visible in case of an emergency.

There is a small pocket in the front for a map, compass and other navigational equipment. There is also a plastic carabiner for keys in this bag.

The backpack is made of 100% recycled polyamide material with 400D resistance and without the use of PFC. For its own 150l airbag, the technology of two-layer material is used, which brings reduced weight and increased tear resistance. The safety key included in the backpack is used to deflate the inflated airbag and is used to unlock the system so that it can be deflated and folded quickly.

Easier fastening of the buckle and safety strap
The security strap between the legs is made in bright orange color, for a quick and clear check of the correct securing before the descent. The purpose of the strap is to prevent the backpack from being pulled off the body in a moving avalanche. Thanks to the design of the safety strap, the buckle of the waist strap can be conveniently clicked, as is common with non-avalanche backpacks. The snap buckle of the loincloth thus fundamentally increases user comfort, especially when unfastening it quickly before getting on the cable car.

A supercapacitor is a capacitor with a very high electrical capacity
Unlike a battery that uses electrochemical reactions, a capacitor stores energy through a static charge. A supercapacitor is ideal when a large output of electrical energy is required for a short period of time. This is exactly what an avalanche backpack fan needs to fill the airbag with ambient air. With LiTRIC, the energy source is an integrated Li-Ion battery, which you know from a mobile phone. Recharging is very simple - via the USB-C cable that is included in the package. Charging takes 2-3 hours. It is possible to activate the airbag twice for one charge, but after the first activation it is necessary to wait approximately 25 minutes for the supercapacitor to regenerate and the second inflation to take place without problems. On the side of the backpack, in the place of the system, there is a mesh window through which you can see the traffic light, indicating the charging status of the system (Green / Orange / Red).

Comfortable back system for all-day wear
The spine system is made of 3D pressed memory foam. The back is softer to better follow the movement of the body and not push any edge. The shoulder straps and hip belt are sewn directly onto the back system, so the weight of the full backpack is distributed evenly. The chest belt stabilizes the shoulder straps, which you will especially appreciate when skiing.

The back system is covered with a softshell that does not stick to snow.

The backpack was adapted for people with an average back length of 42-50 cm - for a figure of approximately 170 to 195 cm.
