The Vue MIPS helmet represents an elegant solution to the eternal problem of combining helmet and glasses. The folding visor offers protection against the vagaries of the weather and UV radiation without any limitation of the field of vision. The adjustable In Form clamping system, the In Mold construction and the adjustable Thermostat Control ventilation make the Vue MIPS a light and comfortable helmet. And you can enjoy skiing with peace of mind, because the safety of the helmet is increased by the MIPS system, which offers increased protection of the brain against rotational forces.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1077. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the slope. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.

WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner linings. In the event of an impact at an angle, the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
