The Envi Spherical women's helmet is the lightest helmet you have ever worn. It doesn't matter if you are on ski alps or enjoying the morning men - a light helmet will make your arches more enjoyable in any case. But it's not just about weight. The Envi helmet is equipped with Thermostat Control ventilation control, comfortable quick-drying linings made of Polartec material and an intuitive Fidlock magnetic buckle under the chin. The unique Spherical Powered by MIPS technology increases protection against rotational forces. It works on the principle of a joint - the shell of the helmet consists of two hemispheres that move like a joint. The outer shell can rotate around the inner shell in the event of an impact, reducing forces that would otherwise act directly on the head and brain. It's such a cushioning inside the helmet.

MIPS IS MOVEMENT
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible in the event of an impact and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1077. The aim of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the piste. When impacted at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angle impact, the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters along the MIPS layer, thus protecting the head and brain from a sharp rotational jerk.
