The legendary X-TALON model comes in a brand new design and is better than ever. Given the historical success of this concept, such a claim seems very bold, but the G 235 variant has the potential to meet even the highest expectations.
The basis of the shoe is still the same - a sole tested over the years with an aggressive 8 mm grip, which you can rely on even in the most demanding terrain. It goes without saying that excellent self-cleaning capabilities and one hundred percent coverage in all directions are provided. The only weak point of this sole was the durability when running on hard surfaces. Thanks to graphene, even this last shortcoming is eliminated, and in the new X-TALON G 235 you can look forward to a significantly better service life while maintaining grip.
There was no need to make fundamental changes in the area of damping either. The drop is the traditional 6 millimeters and the cushioning layer under the heel is 13 millimeters thick. The key features are flexibility and responsiveness without a negative impact on comfort and protection of the foot.
The most important comes at the end. The upper used in the X-TALON G 235 has been redesigned from the ground up with an emphasis on significantly higher comfort. Due to the fact that this shoe is designed for running in the most demanding environment, the high level of protection and durability that you are used to in the X-TALON family from previous models must not be missing. The primary material thus remains practically indestructible ballistic nylon supplemented by a rubber protective trench covering the toes and the middle part of the shoe
The upper is stretched on a narrow hoof width 2 (precision fit), which will limit the space for your transverse arch and toes, but the shoes have better controllability when running at high speed and in technically demanding terrain.
The main difference from previous models is the use of a softer fabric on the inside of the upper. After putting them on, you won't want to believe that you have a stable and durable off-trail special on your feet and not a padded road shoe.
However, comfort must in no way compromise the functional properties of the entire shoe. The materials used for the construction of the upper are so durable and non-absorbent that the shoes can be used without problems even in wet environments.
