You are looking at a purebred universal among cross-country shoes. An amphibian that handles the traps of the trail as well as longer sections of asphalt. This is mainly due to the redesigned sole with a shallow pattern combining three different hard rubber compounds for the optimal combination of grip and durability. In addition to the universal grip, the TRAIL TALON 290 offers comfortable cushioning, which ranks it among the most comfortable models in the INOV-8 range. Thanks to this, these are the best-selling cross-country shoes for a long time.
Due to the higher degree of damping, TRAIL TALON 290 is a great choice for mountain marathons and ultra trails. However, you will also appreciate the comfort of the cushioning layer and the universal properties when running regularly in a suburban environment, where a road with an easier trail often alternates. The midsole drop is 8 millimeters and together with the used cushioning it forms a mixture that will suit all runners who prefer comfort over the sensitivity of the surface.
The upper is taut on a wide hoof and especially in the front part, TRAIL TALON 290 provides enough space for natural finger work and transverse arch. Of course, there is a proven rubber cage stabilizing the instep and the foot inside the shoe. A novelty compared to the previous 290s is the new rubber finger guard and reworked upper material.
