Fenix PD36R rechargeable flashlight

The Fenix PD36R rechargeable tactical flashlight is the first Fenix brand flashlight that supports powering with the most modern Li-ion battery type 21700. It is equipped with the latest LED LUMINUS SST-40 and brings a luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and an afterglow of up to 283 meters. The package also includes a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the lamp via a modern USB-C connector. The Fenix PD36R lamp has six different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high performance and long endurance. In the lowest mode, it can shine for up to 115 hours, which is almost 5 days of light in one piece. There is also a mode of stroboscopic flashes for crisis situations.

The lamp is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are gradually discharging). In addition, the lamp is equipped with an indication of the battery charge status in the side button. The Fenix PD36R lamp impresses not only with its compact dimensions but also with its really high light output. We can therefore recommend it also for use in security forces, for hunting and other demanding activities.

All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

The use

From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.

To turn it on, press the switch located at the end of the lamp, for immediate activation, hold down the button. By pressing the side button near the light head, you can switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold down the side button for about 0.5 seconds.

Intelligent protection against overheating - if the temperature of the lamp rises above 50°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until it reaches 550 lumens. Operation on the highest mode is also limited to 15 minutes. Then the lamp will reduce the output to 900-550 lumens depending on the temperature.

Indication of the state of charge of the batteries - each time it is switched on, the indicator LED in the side button of the lamp is activated for three seconds. If the indicator light is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged to 25-50%. Blinking red means there is less than 25% battery capacity left.

Charging - flip off the rubber cover of the charging connector on the side of the lamp and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter into the electrical network or car (not included in the package). The side button lights up red while charging. It lights up green when fully charged. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 4 hours. During charging, the light can be used, but only in the 30 and 150 lumen lighting mode.

Warning of depleted batteries - the lamp will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the side button will start flashing red.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.

• If the protective rubber rings appear to be damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.

• If the lamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:

  • The batteries are almost empty - replace them or charge the accumulator.

  • The contacts inside the lamp are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

  • The head, body or back of the lamp is loose - add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten the head and the end of the lamp.
