Garmin VIRB 360 is a durable, action-packed, 360° camera with GPS, 5.7K/30fps resolution and four microphones for high-quality, surround sound recording. In 4K resolution, the camera additionally offers spherical stabilization with the elimination of video shake when recording action sports.

One of the most interesting features of the camera is full 360° video recording using two spherical lenses. At a resolution of up to 4K/30fps, the camera is able to combine the images of both lenses directly in the camera, and the resulting recording is therefore available immediately, without the need for subsequent processing on a computer. Video from the camera can be easily copied from the camera after recording is finished or even shared live while recording.

Like other VIRB cameras, the VIRB 360 is equipped with a high-sensitivity GPS/GLONASS receiver and a number of additional sensors with G-Metrix™ data recording and the ability to insert a wide range of information directly into the 360° video recording. You can choose, for example, speed of movement, altitude, overload, direction of movement and a whole range of other information. It is even possible to connect the camera to other additional sensors and insert their data into the video. With the help of additional sensors, it is possible to monitor the pulse, cadence, power, temperature and other parameters in the video.

What is the practical significance of 360° video recording? When shooting a video, there is no need to think about the angle of the shot, the camera records the entire surroundings. The shot angle can only be selected during video playback. The shot angle can be moved during playback or the angle can be varied during repeated playback. It is possible to additionally edit a video with a classic shot from the video and it is possible to assemble it from shots with different angles of view at the same moment.
Thanks to the VIRB mobile application, the video made by the VIRB 360 camera can also be viewed using virtual reality glasses, spatial sound recording allows listening to sound with different intensity depending on the selected viewing angle.

Freely downloadable tools such as the VIRB mobile app or dedicated PC software are available for camera work, video editing and processing. Both tools offer simple and fast editing of 360° video, easier than it was usual for similar videos. Thanks to the VIRB app, the camera is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems.

The Garmin VIRB 360 also retains some of the typical features that have proven to be the case with previously introduced Garmin VIRB action cameras. Among the main ones is a large controller for video recording. Even when the camera is placed on the helmet, it is possible to start or stop the video recording with confidence, blindly and wearing gloves. Similarly, the possibility of controlling the camera is preserved not only by means of a smartphone application, but also by means of a smart GPS watch, outdoor, cycling, motorcycle or maritime Garmin GPS navigation.

The VIRB 360 camera is of course waterproof up to 10m without the need for an additional case. The camera is equipped with a rechargeable, replaceable battery with a duration of up to 1 hour of recording per charge. In addition to video recording, the camera is also capable of taking 360° spherical photos with a resolution of 15 MPix. The camera is equipped with its own display that can be read in direct sunlight and displays basic data about the state of charge of the battery, the remaining memory capacity or the currently used video mode. Using the display and buttons, it is possible to change the necessary settings directly on the camera. The VIRB 360 camera is additionally equipped with Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, ANT+™ and NFC wireless technologies. The camera comes with a unique compact tripod that can be used as a practical camera holder. After removing the tripod, the camera can be fixed using a standard tripod thread or using standard action camera holders. The camera uses a microSD card with a capacity of up to 128GB for recording.
