GU energy gels contain a complex of sugars, maltodextrin (70–80%) and fructose (20–30%, depending on flavor) in 100 calories. As a quick source of energy for the human body, they enable increasing and maintaining performance during daily training. The ideal dosage is 15 minutes before performance and further after 45 minutes of physical activity. Some gels contain caffeine to increase attention and reduce the perception of fatigue. They do not contain gluten.
