Lapierre AIRCODE DRS 7.0 bicycle

It seemed impossible to make Aircode even faster and at the same time even more comfortable than its predecessor. But the knowledge of carbon construction and the World Tour experience of the Groupama FDJ team, in cooperation with specialists for the optimization of dynamics using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and subsequent demanding tests in the wind tunnel, opened a new chapter for Aircode.
And Arnaud Demare's 4 stage victories at the Giro d'Italia prove that it is a successful chapter!

The aerodynamic and slim design plays with the laws of physics and aerodynamics. During the construction of the new model, they optimized all the details to make the frame as light as possible precisely in the places where there is the highest inertia, in order to increase the overall performance.

Do not look for the cabling. Due to the improvement of frame curves and aerodynamics, the cabling is completely hidden in the handlebars and in the frame itself. In order to achieve this degree of integration, they produced a new type of stem, added 1.5" ball bearings and designed a new type of front fork. The result, in addition to improving aerodynamics, is the high aesthetic value of the new Lapierre Aircode DRS.

You can improve the aerodynamics of the bike, but what would be the point if they didn't also improve the aerodynamics of the rider himself? To achieve a higher speed, this was a fundamental task. With a more direct and constant angle of the seat tube for frame sizes from XS to M (74°) and from L to XL (73.5°) and a slightly extended upper frame tube, they achieved a lower, more aggressive seat and thus reduced air resistance and improved aerodynamics. Thanks to the longer wheelbase , the stability of the front part of the bike has been improved, especially at high speeds. The rear part of the bike stands out for its higher sensitivity due to the shorter chainstays (405mm). Lapierre did the unthinkable - a combination of stability, control precision and acceleration ability.

With the new Aircode DRS, you will discover what it means to drive fast and as if on velvet, regardless of the road condition. The new design of the seat stays and their connection to the upper frame tube (which now rises above the level of the seat tube) disperses vibrations and reduces the bending force of both the seat tube and the seat post.

The results are incredible: the frame is now 12% more vertically comfortable than its predecessor. In combination with tubeless wheels (all models) and tires with a width of 25 mm (frame and fork are compatible with tires up to 28 mm ), driving becomes a pleasure. It allows you not only to drive faster, but also to cover longer distances with less fatigue.

New Lapierre Aircode DRS - As fast, strong and aggressive as it looks!

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:
  1. The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
  2. The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
  3. The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
  4. If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
  5. If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
    1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
    2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
    3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
    4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
    5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
    6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
    7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
    8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
    9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
