Endura MT500 MIPS MTB is a light helmet from the Scottish manufacturer Endura.

Based on the proven MT500 models, it now comes with additional MIPS technology that provides excellent impact protection. In addition, the core of the KOROYD MTB helmet provides you with protection in the event of a fall.

The helmet offers a removable and adjustable visor, a strap, a goggle holder and also options for attaching a camera or light.

KOROYD:
The KOROYD core consists of thousands of small polymer tubes and offers particularly high impact resistance. In addition, the energy-absorbing material is very light and breathable, which ensures perfect thermoregulation and keeps your head cool while cycling.

MIPS BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM:
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a protection system against slipping in the helmet. It is designed to rotate inside the helmet to slow or reduce the impact energy on the brain, helping to reduce head injury caused by rotational impacts.

WHY IS MIPS IMPORTANT?
When the head rotates rapidly and stops suddenly, the acceleration of the rotation can cause brain tissue to be subjected to high levels of stress. This tissue stretching caused by these movements can lead to different types of brain injuries. MIPS is designed to address rotational acceleration during impact.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS uses a sliding plane system that moves inside the helmet and mimics the brain's own protective system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intention of potentially slowing down or reducing the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the stress associated with rotational acceleration, we could reduce the risk and severity of brain injury.
