A good base layer provide a layer of warmth while absorbing and evaporating your sweat to keep you feeling warm and comfortable. There are various types and materials. The base is made of artificial fibers, the better ones are made of merino wool. In the case of underwear, we don't recommend combine it with padded bike pants.
